Get Confident
Take a minute to imagine yourself as you are right now. Now imagine yourself as you would like to be. Picture yourself in a place where you feel relaxed and confident, surrounded by lots of friends, all happy and smiling. How does this image make you feel?
This is called ‘visualisation’ and it is one of the most powerful tools you have.
When you consciously visualise something positive, for example, passing your exams with flying colours, notice how much lighter, clearer, more confident and energetic you feel and you immediately start to focus on making that thought a reality. On the other hand, when you picture something negative like failing, you start to feel dull, heavy, and hopeless, your energy vanishes and everything becomes an effort, and you start to dread the exams. In this way, a situation can actually be changed just by the way you think about it.
Kind Hearts put together a CD of exercises (available on request) that combine visualisation with powerful affirmation, breathing exercises, yoga, and music. By using these tools to practise visualisation positively, you can get rid of stress, dump negativity and start feeling happier, more confident, relaxed and capable.
Remember that a positive thought is always stronger than a negative thought. When you’re feeling low, picture something that makes you happy, and feel your smile grow and your energy increase.
